Disneyland Paris-skip if you are not a Disney fan.

I debated whether we should spend one of our days in Paris at Disneyland.  But since the Louvre is closed on Tuesday, I figured I could get away with a little Disney guilty pleasure.  I have spent a lot of time at Disneyland in California, and I was really curious how this one would compare.  I have to say that it was comfortingly familiar, while oddly different.  So for my friends who are Disney and Disneyland fans, here are some photos from our day at Disneyland Paris.

Instead of breakfast with the characters, they offer tea with the characters. We skipped this in favor of cafe au lait and ice cream.

Biggest surprise of the day was Space Mountain.

Why do they have over the shoulder restraints?

Now I know (warning: very loud):

To recover, we went to Fantasyland, and enjoyed Alice's Labyrinth:

Anyone who has been to California Disneyland knows this is a fantasy (10 minute wait for Peter Pan? Wow!):

It was a fun day, and I am glad we went, although I might regret missing some of the other sites by the end of the week. I think that means I just need to come back to Paris.
